In keeping with our celebration of lesser-known holidays, Taysted decided to try out a recipe we have been holding onto for a special occasion for our favorite day of the year—the first official day of summer! The recipe, originally found on Glitter Guide, a favorite blog of ours for a long time now, seemed super easy.
To be completely honest, we did not follow the recommended measurements very closely, and ended up eyeballing most of the ingredient additions and adjusting as necessary after tasting the blended concoction. We also sort of forewent the more complex instructions, threw the mango, orange juice, and vanilla ice cream into a blender, blended it all together, and voilà! An addictively easy to drink mix between a milkshake and a mango smoothie!

Mango Creamsicle Milkshake

— Serves two
- 2 cups of frozen chopped mango
- 2 cups of orange juice
- 1 gallon of vanilla ice cream
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until they have a smooth, creamy consistency. Taste and add more of whatever ingredient you think it needs! Can be garnished with chopped fruit or edible flowers.
