The Dragonfly is a totem for Transformation and Self-Realization. It holds a special place in Executive Chef and Owner Katelynn Zink’s life. Shared sightings of the beautiful insect were something she and her late mother cherished together. On the late Autumn day when she decided to take the leap of faith in opening her Lititz PA Cafe, her dragonfly paid her a visit.
The Dragonfly Café is about enjoying delicious and, moreover, healthy meals with friends and family. Much of her menu caters to ‘Restricted Diets’, but her creativity of flavor and presentation is anything but restricted.
Chef Zink: “After the huge transformation I went through personally in my health, I wanted to show people how delicious thoughtfully-healthy foods can be. After my mother’s passing, I changed my eating habits and lost 125lbs. I would never have had the energy or stamina to realize my dream before. I want to share my experience with my guests.”
Personally, as a coffee professional, my attention immediately goes to the coffee menu. With a knack for unusual-and-delicious flavor combinations, Front-End manager Barbara Adams creates carefully unrestrained gourmet coffee drinks, while constantly looking to perfect her espresso and milk texturing skills. Their house espresso blend has quickly become talk of the town, and she and her regulars share their own common language at the bar.
The restaurant is 100% Nut Free, and Katelynn’s menu features vegetarian and vegan options and substitutions, gluten free selections, and – whenever possible – local, fresh and organic ingredients. An instant classic is their extensive Gourmet Mac & Cheese Menu; and don’t leave without trying their crispy Broccoli & Cauliflower Fritters with Lime-Cilantro Yogurt Sauce.
If you’ve been looking for a relaxed café environment with plenty of heart and a Special-Diets-Conscious Menu, perhaps you should start keeping an eye out for Katelynn’s Dragonfly too.
