The Art of the Bloody Mary

Many of us first learned the term “Bloody Mary” among childhood friends trying to scare us. The legend of Bloody Mary involves repeating the words in front of mirror in a dimly lit room, and…

I’m having terrifying flashbacks as I write this, so I’ll move on.

The Bloody Mary drink, however, has nothing to do with scary folklore. The base of a Bloody Mary cocktail is tomato juice and vodka, but a more creative trend has made its way through the streets of Lancaster.

It’s actually difficult to find a good Bloody Mary in town, but I can personally attest to the deliciousness to be tasted at Annie Bailey’s Irish Pub (28 East King Street). Annie Bailey’s infuses all of their liquors in house. There are so many options to choose from and you can easily make your way down the list each time you return.

Annie Bailey’s options:
Old Bay Vodka, Banana Pepper & Garlic Vodka, Celery Vodka, Dill Pickle Vodka, Jalapeno Tequila, Sweet Beet & Carrot Gin, Garden Veggie Vodka, Lebanon Bologna Jim Beam, or Bacon Maker’s Mark.
