Brunch at Annie Bailey’s: Juicy Pear Mojito

IMG_5799We hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s day! Taysted spent the morning at Annie Bailey’s tasting one of the much anticipated Rijuice cocktails. Co-owner of Annie Bailey’s, Joshua Funk, recommended the Spiced Pear Mojito.

The drink consists of Absolut Pear Vodka (and holy moly, is it ever good!), freshly squeeze lime juice, fresh muddled mint, soda water, and Rijuice’s Sunshine Daydream. Sunshine Daydream is a fresh, cold-pressed apple and lemon juices with a touch of ginger spice.

The best way I can describe this cocktail came to me immediately after my first sip. I literally said out loud to my brunch buddy, “Oh my gosh. This tastes just like a juicy pear Jelly Belly!” And it truly does, with a twist of course.

In addition to the Spiced Pear Mojito, Annie Bailey’s also offers The Cure All and a Kale Collins. The Cure All is made with Maker’s Mark bourbon, ginger simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and Rijuice’s Red Rose (beet, apple, carrot, pineapple, and ginger). The Kale Collins is made with Hendrick’s gin, St. Germain liquor, simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and Rijuice’s A Million Bucks (kale, apple, spinach, and lemon).
