Emily Cooks the Web: Summer + Fall Cocktail

I literally spent my entire weekend creating a massive 3’ x 4’ collage at my kitchen table. The only reason I left my project was to eat. If you know anything about me, this will come to no surprise to you as my life and my daily scheduling revolves around “When am I next going to eat?

Neigh, I am not ashamed.

I’m a pretty big fan of bargain shopping at grocery outlets. During a recent shopping trip, I acquired a delicious container of organic cherry juice. I’ve never tried cherry juice before, and lemme tell ya, the price was right, so I decided to give it a shot.

However, my every thought has been filled with autumn and fall and everything that comes along with it. But, summer is still here and I’m trying to hang onto every last moment of warm weather possible. That’s when I decided to make a cocktail that showcases both summer and fall flavors: The Cherry Ginger.

The Cherry Ginger (by Emily Truman):
4 oz. organic cherry juice
4 oz. sparkling water (I chose peach-pear LaCroix because it’s all I had)
1 oz. Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur

Mix ingredients together and pour over ice in a fancy cocktail glass. Enjoy!
