Bakery at the Cupboard, the offshoot of Lititz Family Cupboard, has been open since 2008. Manager and Pastry Chef Samantha Fisher (graduate of the Culinary Institute of America) explained that since opening, the bakery has made a presence in the community as business has increased. Bakery at the Cupboard has now reached a solitary identity by not only making desserts for the restaurant but also offering several to-go items in their display cases and a wholesale line as well.
Bakery at the Cupboard is known for their chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Through March, they are making Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes which are rich chocolate cupcakes made with Wilbur’s dark chocolate and creamy peanut butter icing finished in a rustic rose pattern.
If that’s not quite enough chocolate for you, you can also try their Mocha Brownies. The rich and decadent dark chocolate fudge brownis are made with Square One Coffee and a flavorful espresso mousse filling. They are topped with dark chocolate ganache.
If you’re more in the mood for something with berries, try their Raspberry White Chocolate Muffins. The muffins are made with moist batter, dotted with white chocolate chips, and are filled with housemade raspberry preserves.
