513 – Sparkling, Iron Horse Brut, Green Valley, 2001: $34

Wonderfully rich and creamy, it sends all kinds of memory bells that say “champagne”, though the fruit is unmistakably Green Valley of Russian River Valley. It is vintage quality in every sense of the word.

512 – Carmenere, Paso del Sol, Valle Central, Chile, 2008: $18

Intense red color with violet hues on the nose, earthy with tobacco and hints of chocolate and black fruit. A soft but tasty wine!

511 – Sparkling, Schramsberg, Mirabelle Brut Rose, NV: $24

A rosé with serious intentions, it has a delicate pink hue and floral aromas of strawberry and spicy yeast rolls. The flavors show good focus, offering raspberry, Gala apple, ginger and fig flavors. Delicious!!

510 – Copertino Reserva, Puglio, Italy, 2001: $46

Brick red and dense with seductive aromatics of blackberry, spice, Maduro cigar leaf and smoked meats. Medium bodied and surprisingly complex with well-integrated layers of leather, wild berries, cedar, tar, vanilla & soft spices.

509 – Chenin Blanc, Daniel Gehrs, Monterey, 2008: $25

A delightful white wine with exotic complex notes of honey, flowers, ripe pears and quince all wrapped in a truly silky texture with a long seamless, mineral-infused finish. Delicious!!

503 – Red Blend, Goose Ridge “G3” Columbia Valley, Washington, 2006: $32

49% Syrah, 35% Merlot, 16% Malbec. Rich flavors of berry and dark cherry intertwine with notes of vanilla and sweet spice to create a long and supple finish
