513 – Sparkling, Iron Horse Brut, Green Valley, 2001: $34
Wonderfully rich and creamy, it sends all kinds of memory bells that say “champagne”, though the fruit is unmistakably Green Valley of Russian River Valley. It is vintage quality in every sense of the word.
512 – Carmenere, Paso del Sol, Valle Central, Chile, 2008: $18
Intense red color with violet hues on the nose, earthy with tobacco and hints of chocolate and black fruit. A soft but tasty wine!
511 – Sparkling, Schramsberg, Mirabelle Brut Rose, NV: $24
A rosé with serious intentions, it has a delicate pink hue and floral aromas of strawberry and spicy yeast rolls. The flavors show good focus, offering raspberry, Gala apple, ginger and fig flavors. Delicious!!
