A few weeks ago we sent out a poll on Facebook and Instagram asking our wonderful readers to help us choose the next secret ingredient for Food Fight in our big 10th Anniversary Issue. The milestone issue will make its big debut on November 3, 2016.
We received amazing suggestions. Some ingredient ideas were rather exotic, others were on the simpler side. Emily Kirsch, who ended up being our winner, suggested an ingredient which none of the FLL staff could believe hadn’t been chosen previously.
Yes, BACON! Why didn’t we think of that already? So, part of winning the contest was being given the opportunity to attend some of the tastings at various participating restaurants. Emily and her husband, Matt, happily obliged! They joined us at Federal Taphouse, not only getting a behind the scenes look at what goes into making Food Fight so special each issue, but they also got to taste the food! They were very impressed with Chef Seth’s dish.
