Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast was recently named the “most annoying food on Instagram.” How many of these people do you think have actually tasted it, though?!

In the simplest sense, avocado toast consists of delicious toasted whole grain bread with smashed avocado on top with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. It sounds insanely simple, and it is, but it is SO, SO DELICIOUS. I can’t say enough about it honestly. And I eat it all the time.

You have whole grains and healthy fats, so not only will you get protein but you’ll also get a healthy intake of monounsaturated fat as well has fiber. It also includes other nutrients such as Vitamins B, C, E, K and potassium.

Other additions to your avocado toast could include:

  • Lemon Juice
  • Thinly Sliced Radish
  • Thinly Sliced Tomato and Onion
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Garlic Salt
  • Hemp Seeds and goat cheese
