My best friend works for Lancaster Farm Fresh as their CSA coordinator. The other day, she came to my house with an entire crate of locally grown, organic peaches. What the heck am I supposed to do with these, I asked myself.
Such a silly, silly question. Because when I searched “peach recipes” on Pinterest, I got everything from savory to sweet to smoothies to teas to salsas to desserts to crockpot dinner recipes.
I ended up boiling a massive pile of peaches for 30-45 seconds and then throwing them in a bowl of ice water to blanch them. Once they cooled, I peeled their skins off and pitted them, chopping them up into large chunks until I decided what to do next.
Here are a few of the recipes I made this past weekend, plus more:
Easy Peach Tea — Mix with Vodka for a cocktail!
Crockpot Peach Butter — Great on toast, pork, or in a homemade salad dressing!
Peach Habanero Jam — Serve with crackers and goat cheese! Also great on top of chicken!
